About living in Coundon

properties for sale Coundon

Along with neighbouring Keresley, Coundon was originally a village in the Warwickshire countryside, but by the 1930s had been incorporated into the city of Coventry, when mass housebuilding took place to accommodate the city’s growing population.

Coundon is a quiet, sought-after area in Coventry, that is two miles north-west of the Coventry town centre. The south and east of Coundon are covered by modern housing estates, but the north and west are still largely rural. In the extreme west of Coundon new houses have been built along Brown’s Lane, and the Jaguar car factory lies across the boundary between Coundon and Allesley.
